The connection between sex and art is an undeniable truth, especially in modern music. It's celebrated in every facet, from the large umbrella of rock'n'roll to the more barefaced exploits of hip-hop. So it's not too much of a stretch that somewhere out there there's a strip joint that hosts bands to perform while strippers (ah hem... “dancers”) gambol down their short stages to meet the ogling eyes of sexually malnourished music enthusiasts. Despite all the misinformed naysaying player haters out there, it's a perfect fit.

This Saturday at Heartbreakers Gentlemen's Club in wonderful outskirts of Milwaukee, Wisconsin a sonic celebration of female genitalia will certainly set the stage right for a long New Years weekend. The opening act The Reverse kick out a gravel-throated musical blister that oozes the classically brilliant layman's approach to affecting garage slop. Supporting are Rusty Ps, a Milwaukee hip hop outfit, who's swagger of laggard rhymes fall in line with the cocksure delivery of the Bohemian sect ala' The Pharcyde and Mos Def. The long running Milwaukee golden boys of rock'n'roll excess The Mistreaters will headline the event. Their hallmark sound of well planned catastrophe in a cesspit of lacerating guitar, alleyway drum thuds, and a frontman who's as rambunctious as a well groomed orangutang fresh out of the zoo, never misses.
